Cats are very sensitive creatures and they rely on their senses as they navigate around the environment. Costumes can interfere with their ability to move and may make them feel very vulnerable. Use common sense when it comes to dressing your cat up for holidays. Halloween is often frightening enough for a cat with all the ringing of the doorbell and strangers at the door. Why add the extra stress to your cat by putting a hat on him that covers his ears or attaching a costume that feels scratchy, uncomfortable and restricts his movements?
